The chalet is placed straight to the national park Hohe Tauern and is a perfect start for hiking,
nordic walking and mountainbiking. A recreative walk to the nearby Panoramahütte or to the
storage lake Durlaßboden to the entrance of the great Pinzgauer mountainside, you have no limits.

 
 
 
Over 60 km of well signed hiking trails in all heights and 7 varied routes will carry you through
the fascinating countryside around Krimml, Gerlos, Königsleiten and Silberleiten, Austrias
beautiful mountane area in Salzburg.
 

  

With the heigth of fall of 390 m, the Krimmler waterfalls are the highest in Europe. The path
along the waterfalls leads you across many viewing places, bridges and cockpits near to the
natural spectacle.

 
 
 
The sailors of Ziller Valley Arena can be met in the middle of the mountains. Only three kilometres
away from the storage lake Durlaßboden, on a height of 1300m, offers friends of the sailing sport
enough wind to sail and enough water under the boat. A surf- and sailingschool, a boat rent,
a beach bath with children’s playground and barbecue place and the comfartable restaurant
“Seestüberl” are available. 
 
 
 
The “Kristallbad” (cryrstal bath) offers pure swimming pleasure and wellness. The bath in the
centre of Wald was opened in Dezember 2007. 300m² expanse of water, a 50m long giant slide,
massage nozzles, fizzy water and a pool for kids invites you to relax and to enjoy your holiday.
